Cherry Santos
Administration Assistant at Temecula Public Cemetery District

Cherry Santos joined the District as Administrative Assistant in February 2023 with over 20 years of experience in non-profit organizations. She grew up in Orange County in the 70’s with her 5 brothers and sisters and graduated from Laguna Hills High School in 1981. She attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa then went on to pursue a license in radio broadcasting.
In 1987, Cherry relocated to Sacramento for a career opportunity and started a family a few years later. While living in northern California as a full-time stay at home mom, Cherry volunteered time with the local Soroptimist club, her children’s schools, library and church. She pursued a yoga certification program and became an instructor at the local sports club and yoga studio.
Cherry’s daughter, a business owner, resides in San Francisco with her husband and 2 dogs, Luna, a red Doberman and Maple, a long-haired Chihuahua. Cherry’s son resides in El Segundo and enjoys his job working for a Los Angeles based NFL organization.
After living in northern California for 25 years, Cherry returned to southern California to be near her family and friends. In 2012, she moved to Murrieta with her 2 dogs, Rocket, a Beagle and Misty, a Yorkie. In her new hometown, Cherry began working at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library and the Grace Mellman Community library as well as teaching yoga classes at various studios and fitness centers. She enjoys living in this area where there are plenty of places to hike, golf, bike and practice yoga. Her interests also include relaxing at the beach, reading, going to movies and traveling.
