Sam Murillo

Samuel Murillo serves as Foreman for the Temecula Public Cemetery District, where he leads daily operations and grounds maintenance with an exceptional level of care, respect, and meticulous attention to detail. Currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Samuel intends to further his education with a Master’s in Business Administration, equipping him to bring even stronger leadership and vision to the District he holds dear. Together with his wife of 15 years, Samuel is a deeply devoted husband and father to four amazing daughters. Their home is completed by two loyal companions, Jocko, a protective German Shepherd, and Wero, a spirited Chihuahua. For Samuel, family, faithfulness, and the legacy we leave behind are the bedrock of a meaningful life. His calling to the cemetery District runs deep. Having walked through the profound grief of losing his brother and cherished dogs Lola and Pancho, Samuel understands loss in a way that forever changed him. From that pain grew an unshakable purpose to ensure every family who steps onto these grounds feels genuinely supported, every life story is honored with dignity, and every visit offers comfort and peace.

Outside of work, Samuel’s greatest joy is time spent with his wife and daughters—whether they’re piling into the car for a spontaneous road trip, hiking local trails with Jocko and Wero, catching a new movie, or upholding their beloved Friday “Family Adventure Day” tradition of trying a new restaurant together each week. A lifelong combat-sports enthusiast, he still laces up boxing gloves every once in a while, and never misses a major boxing or MMA event. Samuel is steadfast in his commitment to grow as a leader within the district and to continually elevate the experience of every visitor. He considers it a true privilege to care for a place that safeguards so many of Temecula’s most treasured memories, and he remains dedicated to serving this community with compassion, humility, and excellence for years to come.
